The Information Department, Government of Sindh, has announced 53 vacancies across nine posts. The advertisement appeared in Jang on October 10, 2026. It mixes office roles with media and technical roles. Clerical candidates and people with photography, camera, or calligraphy skills can both find a fit here.
The Hiring at a Glance

If you hold a shorthand and typing certificate, your odds look best in the Steno Typist and Stenographer posts. Together, those two account for 21 of the 53 seats.

Read the Experience Lines Before the Degree Lines
For most of these posts, experience matters as much as education. The Dark Room Attendant post asks for developing and film printing. That is a darkroom skill set, so a purely digital background may not match it. If you work only with digital files, check the wording carefully before you apply.
Pass the STS Screening Test First
You cannot start with the application form. First, you need a pass in the general screening test run by IBA Sukkur Testing Service (STS). The test category must match the education level of your post, and you need at least 40% marks. Keep the STS certificate ready, because the portal and the interview panel both expect it.
Domicile, Quotas, and Age Relaxation
- Only candidates with a Sindh domicile and a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) can apply. Both men and women are eligible.
- The department counts your age on the closing date. Five years of upper-age relaxation apply under the Sindh Civil Servants (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 2024.
- Reserved quotas apply: 15% for women, 5% for minorities, and 5% for disabled persons.
- Appointments fall under the Sindh government’s Defined Contribution Pension Scheme 2024, according to the ad.
