The Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, Government of Sindh, has released the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) schedule for candidates shortlisted against Narcotics Control Constable (BPS-07) and Lady Narcotics Control Constable (BPS-07) posts. This notice isn’t a new job opening. It concerns candidates who already applied and were shortlisted through the Sindh Job Portal.

A Scheduling Detail Worth Noting
Mirpurkhas and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions share the same date (18 October) and the same venue (Hyderabad Recruit Training Centre) as part of their respective test days. If your domicile district falls under either division, double-check which districts fall under which division in the table above, since a mix-up here could mean showing up on the wrong day.
Conditions and Eligibility
Only candidates who received official intimation for the PFT are eligible to appear. The department has made this explicit: general interest in the post or having applied originally isn’t enough. You need the specific shortlisting confirmation.
Candidates must bring their original, valid CNIC for verification at the test venue. Without it, you will not be permitted to take the test, regardless of your shortlisting status.
Appropriate sports or physical fitness attire is required, including a tracksuit, sportswear, and suitable sports shoes. If you have any medical condition, injury, or physical limitation that could affect your ability to safely complete the test, the department advises obtaining medical clearance beforehand rather than risking injury during the fitness evaluation.
No Flexibility on Scheduling
The department has stated clearly that no request for change of test venue, date, or time will be entertained under any circumstances. If you cannot report on your assigned date, there’s no indication of a makeup session or rescheduling option mentioned in this notice.
Failure to report on the scheduled date and time results in automatic disqualification from the recruitment process. Given how firm this language is, treating your assigned slot as non-negotiable is the safer approach.
How to Confirm Your Status
Candidates are advised to regularly check the Sindh Job Portal to verify their current status in the recruitment process, confirm their assigned test center, and receive further updates related to this recruitment. The department has also mentioned that shortlisting messages are sent directly to candidates’ registered mobile numbers through the portal.
For queries or clarifications specifically about the physical fitness test, candidates can contact the department at 021-99250922 or email dgnc@excise.gos.pk.
A Few Things Worth Noting
This test runs under the Physical Fitness Evaluation Committee, following prescribed Recruitment Rules for these specific posts. Since this covers both the general Narcotics Control Constable and Lady Narcotics Control Constable posts, both male and female shortlisted candidates should check their division’s schedule carefully.
Given that testing spans from 10 October through 25 October across six divisions, the department appears to be running this in phases by region rather than calling every candidate on a single day, likely to manage logistics across such a wide geographic spread.
Who This Concerns
This notice specifically applies to candidates already shortlisted for Narcotics Control Constable or Lady Narcotics Control Constable posts through the Sindh Job Portal. If you haven’t received an official shortlisting intimation, this particular test schedule doesn’t apply to you yet, though checking your application status on the portal directly is the most reliable way to confirm where you stand.
