National Bank of Pakistan Karachi Jobs 2026

National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has opened a senior Human Resource Management position at its Karachi office. The role sits in a growing area for banks across Pakistan: digital transformation inside HR itself, not just customer-facing digital services.

NBP describes itself as “The Nation’s Bank.” The ad frames this hire as part of a wider strategy to support sustainable growth and inclusive development through its branch network. This specific post reports to the Wing Head, Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Digital Transformation.

The Position

Unit Head – HR Digital Transformation (AVP/VP)

Qualification
Minimum graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC. Candidates need a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Public Administration, or a related field. An HR professional certification such as SAP SF Consultant, PMP, SHRM, or CHRP would be preferred.

Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to at least two functions of HR. Candidates should have worked with HR Digital Transformation, SAP HCM/ESS/MSS, or Success Factor, or in an HR Generalist role. Experience in a similar role within the financial sector is preferred.

Skills Required
The bank wants demonstrated success across HR and functional areas, with a hands-on approach to planning, developing, and executing HR projects. Strong relationship management, communication skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of business and financial acumen round out the list. Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills matter too.

What the Role Actually Involves

This job description is more detailed than most bank postings. The Unit Head will design, develop, and maintain core and in-house HR systems. That includes collaborating with HR stakeholders to understand their needs, translating those needs into technical specifications, and building system requirements around them.

Day-to-day work also covers developing custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR data and decision-making. The role leads selection, implementation, and integration of HR technology solutions, and partners with HR stakeholders to identify where automation and digital tools can improve existing workflows.

Beyond the technical side, the Unit Head supports HR teams in using digital tools effectively, works with DBG and ITG along with other departments to keep digital automation initiatives aligned with business goals, and tracks end-to-end automation and digitalization projects through BPD, FSD, and UAT stages until go-live. The role also develops metrics and reporting frameworks to measure digital initiative outcomes, and stays current on HR digitalization trends to inform strategy.

Employment Terms

NBP is hiring on a contractual basis for three years, renewable at the Management’s discretion. Selected candidates get a compensation package and other benefits according to the bank’s policy and rules.

Only candidates who strictly meet the eligibility criteria will get invited for a panel interview. No TA/DA is admissible for the interview.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should visit nbp.rozeepgt.ai and apply online within 10 working days of this advertisement’s publication date. The ad appeared in Daily The News on 4 October 2026, which puts the closing date at roughly 16 October 2026.

This is a shorter window than the 15-day period common in most Sindh government ads, so it’s worth applying early rather than close to the deadline. Applications received after the due date will not be considered under any circumstances.

NBP has stated it functions as an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applications from all qualified individuals regardless of gender, religion, or disability.

Who Should Consider This Role

This is not an entry-level HR post. The combination of 8 years of core HR experience plus specific exposure to SAP HCM, Success Factor, or similar HR digital systems narrows the field considerably. Candidates coming from a banking or financial-sector HR background, with direct hands-on work in HR technology projects, fit this role best.

If your HR experience is mostly generalist with no digital transformation or HRIS exposure, it’s worth weighing whether this specific posting matches your background before applying, since the required skill combination is fairly specific.
