Government of Sindh Information Department Jobs 2026

The Information Department, Government of Sindh, has announced 66 vacancies across seven support-staff positions, to be filled on a regular basis under the administrative control of the Directorate General Public Relations (PRs), Headquarters, Karachi. The advertisement, reference NO. DI(A&A)/INF/(RECR-BPS 1 TO BPS-4)/2026/268, was published in daily Nawaiwaqt on 24 September 2026.

Two eligibility points apply across every one of these posts, so it’s worth stating them once upfront rather than repeating them seven times. First, every applicant must hold both a Domicile and a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of Sindh Province — candidates without a Sindh PRC specifically, not just domicile, are not eligible. • Qualification: Matric pass, at least “C” Grade, with a certificate in plumbing from a recognized Board

• Experience: 2 years’ experience in sanitation

By far the largest share of these 66 seats sits in Naib Qasid — 33 of the 66 vacancies, exactly half — followed distantly by Driver at 12. Candidates meeting only the Matric/”C” Grade bar without a driving license or plumbing certificate will find Naib Qasid and Chowkidar the two posts most directly open to them.

Quota and Terms Worth Reading

The share of quota reserved for initial appointment will be observed as per the Law, Rules, and Policy of the Government of Sindh, including: Rural 60%, Urban 40%, Women Quota 15%, Minority Quota 5%, and Disabled Quota 5%.

The appointment will be made as per the Policy notified by the Government of Sindh on 26.04.2023, under provisions of the Sindh Civil Servants Act, 1973/74 and its rules as amended from time to time, and the appointee will be governed by the “Defined Contribution Pension Scheme 2024,” subject to a prescribed monthly contribution from pensionable pay. This is a distinct pension arrangement from older civil-service pension rules, worth understanding if you’re weighing this against other government offers.
