Sindh Employees Social Security Institution Internship Programme 2026-2027

Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution (SESSI), Government of Sindh, has launched a structured internship programme for 2026-2027. This is a paid opportunity, not an unpaid or token internship, which sets it apart from most private-sector internship ads on this site.

SESSI is inviting online applications from Sindh-domiciled graduates and postgraduates for 30 total internship positions, spread across six distinct disciplines.

Positions Available by Discipline

Finance / Accounting / Audit — 12 positions
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or equivalent relevant qualification. ACCA or equivalent professional qualification from a recognized institution counts toward eligibility.

Computer Science / IT / Data Science / Software Engineering — 12 positions
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized institution.

Procurement — 2 positions
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or an equivalent relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized institution.

Pharmacy — 2 positions
Pharm-D, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, or an equivalent recognized qualification.

Law — 1 position
LL.B. or an equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.

Engineering — 1 position
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Eligibility Criteria

A few conditions apply across all six disciplines, not just the degree requirement listed above:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the equivalent grade/percentage
  • The degree must have been completed within the last 2 years from the closing date
  • Maximum age of 28 years on the closing date
  • Sindh domicile is required

The CGPA requirement here is worth flagging specifically, since it’s a hard cutoff rather than a general preference. Candidates below 3.00 CGPA, even with otherwise strong academic records, won’t meet this programme’s basic eligibility bar.

Terms and Conditions

This internship runs for 6 months, extendable for another 6 months, subject to performance, institutional requirement, and approval from the Competent Authority. Interns receive an honorarium of Rs. 80,000 per month, a notably higher rate than most internship postings in Pakistan.

SESSI has been explicit that this is a training-oriented internship. It does not confer any right to regular appointment, absorption, or service benefits afterward. Selection runs on merit, with a test or interview where required.

Female Candidates Specifically

SESSI has reserved 50% of all seats specifically for female candidates. Given the total of 30 positions, this means roughly 15 seats across the six disciplines are set aside for women applicants, making this one of the more balanced gender-inclusive internship programmes currently open in Sindh’s public sector.

How to Apply

Candidates must apply online through the official SESSI website at Jobs.sessi.gov.pk/Internship. The online form needs to be completed accurately, with required documents uploaded, including CNIC, domicile, and educational credentials.

SESSI has stated clearly that only complete applications submitted through the prescribed online procedure will get considered. An incomplete form or missing document likely means automatic disqualification, regardless of how strong your academic background is otherwise.

The last date to apply is 10 October 2026. Given how close this deadline sits to the ad’s publication date, candidates should prioritize applying promptly rather than waiting.

A Few Things Worth Noting

The programme and its terms remain subject to approval from the Competent Authority and applicable government rules and policies. SESSI has reserved the right to amend the number of seats or programme conditions as required, so the final structure could shift slightly from what’s advertised here.

Who Should Consider This Programme

Given the 2-year window since graduation and the 28-year age cap, this programme specifically targets recent graduates and postgraduates rather than candidates several years into their careers. The Finance/Accounting/Audit and Computer Science/IT streams offer the most seats, at 12 each, making them statistically the most accessible entry points if you meet the CGPA and domicile requirements.

Candidates in Law, Engineering, and Procurement face steeper competition relative to seat count, with just 1 or 2 positions available in each. Still, a strong CGPA and complete, accurately submitted application remain the deciding factors across every discipline here.
