If you already applied to, or were planning to apply to, NICVD’s “Career Opportunities” advertisement, there’s an update worth knowing about before your deadline passes. The institute has issued a corrigendum changing one specific detail: the age limit for a set of positions.
What changed
NICVD published its original Career Opportunities advertisement on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Three papers carried it: Daily Dawn, Daily Jang and Daily Awami Awaz. That ad listed several positions. Each position carried its own age limit, tied to a serial number.
The corrigendum changes just one thing. For Serial No. 08, 09, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 15, NICVD has raised the age limit from 25 years to 28 years.
Every other term and condition stays the same. This isn’t a new hiring round. It isn’t a new set of positions either. It’s a single correction to age eligibility for those seven serial numbers.
Why this matters if you were close to the age cutoff
Institutes usually issue age-limit corrigenda for one of two reasons. Either an applicant challenged the original limit, or the institute reconsidered its own criteria after publishing. If you’re 26 or 27 and had already ruled yourself out because the ad said 25, this change brings you back into eligibility. But it only applies to the seven serial numbers listed above. If your target position isn’t among them, the original limit still stands, whatever that serial number originally specified.
What this notice doesn’t tell you
The corrigendum doesn’t list which job titles match which serial numbers. It assumes you already have the original advertisement in hand. We don’t have that ad’s full position-by-serial breakdown in front of us either, so we can’t confirm with certainty which of NICVD’s advertised roles fall under Serial 08 through 15. These roles span nursing, technical and academic cadres, based on other reports about the same hiring round.
If you have a copy of the original September 27 ad, match your serial number against the list above directly. If you don’t, call the institute and confirm.

Deadline
The corrigendum doesn’t give a new closing date. That means the original advertisement’s deadline should still apply, unless NICVD says otherwise. If you’re unsure, contact NICVD directly. Don’t assume your deadline shifted just because this amendment came out.
