This one stands out from the usual Sindh government ad. The reason: it’s hiring for the Center for Excellence on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE). This unit operates under the Home Department, Government of Sindh.
This isn’t your typical clerical or teaching recruitment. Instead, this specialized unit is hiring researchers, program officers, and technical staff. They’ll work on counter-extremism, community outreach, and capacity-building initiatives across the province.
Contract Terms
All 14 positions run on a contract basis for an initial period of two years, extendable depending on performance. They also carry fixed monthly remuneration instead of a standard BPS pay scale. This setup is fairly common for donor-funded or specialized government units like this one.

One detail applies across every single one of these 14 posts: all candidates must hold Sindh domicile. The ad doesn’t mention any exceptions. If you already work in a government department, you’ll need to apply through the proper channel. You’ll also need to attach a No Objection Certificate.
Unlike a lot of Sindh government ads, this recruitment doesn’t use NTS or a formal online portal. Candidates must send their CV directly to the Section Officer (CVE), Home Department Government of Sindh, Tugluq House, Karachi. Include academic certificates and experience documents too. They need to submit it within 15 days of the advertisement date.
The ad appeared in print on 30 August 2026. That puts the deadline at roughly 14 September 2026. Still, it’s worth confirming the exact date from your copy of the ad. The “late submissions will not be entertained” line reads fairly strict.
The department has also made it explicit that it can reject any or all applications. It can also withdraw the hiring process entirely without giving a reason. Candidates have no right to legal claim over that decision. Additionally, the department won’t pay TA/DA for interviews. It will contact only shortlisted candidates.
This posting accepts a wide range of academic backgrounds. These range from Political Science and Gender Studies to Computer Science and Islamic Studies. So it’s worth reading in full, even if your degree doesn’t sound like a typical “government job” fit at first glance.
If research, policy, training, or program coordination suits you more than clerical work, check our Government Jobs section. We regularly feature similar specialized and contract-based openings across Sindh departments there.
Every post here has a distinct age bracket and qualification requirement. So double-check which specific position matches your degree and experience before assembling your CV.
